The HIO Project makes getting your final product release fast and simple. The HIO Mainboard is a fully fuctional embedded board and allows users to quickly prototype and produce daughter boards or add-on modules without the need for SOM like COM express or Q7 modules.
Just as easy as LEGO, the HIO Project was designed in modular boards to make expansion and upgrading incredibly easy. With 200 pin headers on the top and bottom, the HIO Project is stackable and easily built. The Mainboard can be equipped with a variety of daughter boards in a vertical top and bottom fashion, with wing-type modules or a carrier board.
Multiple configurations give you the options to bring out all display ports, camera ports CAN, serial, I2C, SPI, SDIO and more I.MX6 I/O resources. The HIO PROJECT is capable and ready for anything you can throw at it.
The HIO Project is the thinnest Freescale i.MX6 full featured single board computer on the market today. The tallest point on the board is only about 10mm tall. With only a 72mm x 80mm footprint the HIO is super small. Only taking a slightly bigger footprint than the Raspberry Pi, the HIO is still thinner as the USB OTG port is the highest component on the board.
The HIO can be powered by the HIO Mainboard or daughter board like the POE module or the Mainboard power adapter
The HIO is Android ready and is highly configurable. We will be providing SDKs for Android and Linux.
